Jamie Reyes joined the Public Relations Student Society of America in January 2011. At the conclusion of 2011′s spring semester, Reyes was elected chapter secretary. Reyes is responsible for book keeping tasks and assisting her fellow executive board members. Reyes’ vision for PRSSA includes increasing student awareness and being consistently involved on campus.

Reyes is currently interning at Beck Ellman Heald Public Relations in La Jolla, Calif. and works part-time at General Dynamics Information Technology in San Diego as a technical librarian. Reyes is volunteering for the Brazilian Futebol Academy as a public relations representative, raising awareness about BFA through social media outreach. Reyes is a peer adviser for the Journalism and Media Studies department at San Diego State University where she helps students make the right decisions in regards to their career paths and other academic obstacles.

Aside from Reyes’ school involvements, she enjoys spending time with her five dogs. Reyes loves to sing and dance, which she showcased in a beauty pageant where she won Ms. Kawit Philippines. Reyes is also a foodie who loves to eat out and try different types of food.

Jamie expects to graduate in May 2012 and seeks to start her own public relations firm in San Diego.
