Delanie joined the SDSU chapter of PRSSA in the beginning of her sophomore year in September2010. During the spring semester, Delanie attended her first Regional Conference at Cal State Fullerton and was selected as the chapter delegate for the 2011 PRSSA National Assembly in Seattle. She was elected chapter president in April 2011. Delanie oversees the executive board and chapter affairs, encourages and sets goals for the chapter, and acts as a liaison to the national committee.

In addition to her involvement in PRSSA, Delanie is a member of the College of Professional Studies and Fine Arts Civil Core where she assists incoming freshmen, transfers and international students in adjusting to life and involvement within the San Diego State community. She is also a member of two national honor societies Sigma Alpha Lambda and Phi Eta Sigma.

Delanie currently interns at a boutique PR firm and alumni-owned, Elle Communications located in downtown San Diego. Elle Comm specializes in lifestyle and fashion clients, Delanie’s preferred area of PR. She is also the San Diego State InternQueen campus ambassador, where she blogs for the site and creates awareness of the brand throughout campus.

Delanie plans to graduate in May 2013 and dreams of working in New York City.
